Molten Network is a Layer 3 blockchain focused on providing a high-frequency trading environment with ultra-low latency and minimal fees. It is built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack and leverages Celestia for data availability, ensuring secure and efficient transactions. The network is specifically designed to rival centralized exchanges in speed while maintaining the decentralization and security of DeFi. Molten Network aims to offer traders a seamless experience, comparable to traditional finance but within the decentralized ecosystem
Throughout this guide, we will assume that you are using the Metamask wallet since it is the one most people use, the process of setting up a wallet should be very similar regardless of the wallet you choose
The first step is to open Metamask and select the network icon dropdown menu
When the pop-up appears, click Add Network
The Add a network page will open. Add the following details:
Once you're finished, click Save
You are now connected to the Molten chain
Tokens can be bridged to Molten using Caldera bridge
You will need a fraction of ETH to pay for bridging fees from Arbitrum to Molten
Gas on the Molten chain is paid in MOLTEN - therefore, we recommend bridging it as the first token so you can process transactions
Visit the Caldera bridge and connect your wallet. Ensure your wallet is set up for Arbitrum. You will see the screen below:
Input the amount of MOLTEN (or any other token) you want to transfer to Molten chain and click Transfer Tokens
Approve, then initiate the transfer, which will require confirmation in your wallet interface
The transaction will show as pending on the Transactions page
The bridging transfer should take approximately 15 minutes, but it may take longer during periods of high traffic
